Imam Abduallah Madyun

Imam Abdullah A. Madyun was born in Chicago, USA , to first generation religious Muslim parents that brought him up in a pious environment. He grew up with a strong deep sense of faith (iman), commitment, and strong Islamic fortitude. He is a graduate of Clara Muhammad School, in Chicago, USA, and continued his academic education at one of the City Colleges of Chicago, Malcolm X College, where he studied Chemistry and Spanish.
 
Imam Abdullah was inspired by the late Imam W. Deen Mohammad who left his fathers religion and converted to sunni Islam (he is the son of Elijah Muhummed who founded the problematic organisation Nation of Islam) to pursue studies in the Middle East at the prestigious Islamic University of Medina, Saudi Arabia. There he studied Arabic and Islamic studies for three years.
 
At present Imam Abdullah is imam of Masjid Al-Ihsan: Home of The Islamic Institute of Urban Affairs, were he also serves as the institutes director, located on the South Side of Chicago. In addition, recently he was awarded a scholarship to be apart of the American delegation to the UAE (United Arab Emirates), for two months, where he studied various Islamic disciplines.
